My Z is in excellent shape and runs great for now. However, I'd like to build a monster motor, even a better than the one that's in the car with hopes of one day dropping it in the car. I'm looking for top notch components for it now. I've decided Eagle rods will probably do the job just fine. I'd probably also get either Clevite or Toga bearings for it, along with ARP fasnters all around to button it up right. My main question is pistons. My car currently has Weiscos, as do most other built Z's around. My question is there are lots of other types of pistons on the market other than the Weiscos. What are the strongest/best pistons around? I was looking into the JE's, CP's, Arias, etc. I'd like to keep the price around $1k or less, so the 1500 JUN pistons are out of the question. Any recommendations for possibly a better stronger piston than the Weiscos?
